Community Network Supports isolated people in Ireland.
Telephone befriending groups support those who cannot travel for many reasons-maybe they have difficulties associated with older age, are frail, disabled, geographically remote, they may suffer from an emotional or physical ailment or care for others.  Sue Robinson of Community Network Ireland will be visiting the Family Resource Centre, Toler St. Kilrush on Monday 26th January at 2.30pm.  She will be telling us about where the schemes are employed successfully, how they run and giving some feedback from people taking part in the schemes.  Ir someone who would like to be part of a telephone group or know someone who might, why not come along and hear how other people in Ireland and in the UK have enjoyed the benefits, simply by using their telephone.
