Dermot Power Memorial 5k Walk: the Festival Committee are

organising the Dermot Power road race and walk on Friday July 30th @ 7.30pm. This year’s event is a fundraiser for West Clare Cancer and

Trocaire are currently carrying out a door to door promotion campaign in this area to highlight their work and to encourage people to sign up to a

Direct Debit Scheme. This campaign is aimed at those who may not

contribute to the Lenten Appeal and people should feel under no obligation to support this campaign if you have already supported Trocaire in the Haiti Appeal and in the Lenten Appeal. In addition we would encourage elderly people not to divulge bank account details to any stranger at the door no matter how good their accreditation might seem to be.
