Kildysart who died unexpectedly in Zambia earlier this week. Martin was working for the Aid Agency Concern and had worked as an Aid worker in many Third World Countries. Please remember his wife Rebecca and two children Michelle and Christopher in your prayers. (Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Askeaton, and burial afterwards in the family plot in Kildysart, at times to be announced)

Bee keeping Course
Have ever thought about keeping your own honey bees and harvesting your very own wild flower honey? EIRÍ Corca Baiscinn are organizing an 9 week Bee Keeping Course starting on Monday 3rd November at the Brothers of Charity, Kilrush from 7.30-9.30pm. Biodiversity at Fanore
There are a series of night classes occurring in the National School at Fanore
to follow on from the Community Day out at Fanore held on Saturday 27th
September. These classes will be free of charge and anyone from the area of
North Clare are invited to attend. Classes will commence from Thursday 9th
to the 16th
and finish on 23rd
October 2008. The classes will cover a wide range of Biodiversity found in the
area of Fanore.
A Building of Hope
RTE’s Derek Davis is coming to the Temple Gate Hotel on Saturday October 18th
at 8.30pm to launch a Building of Hope for Fr. Martin Keane in Kenya. We are
looking for volunteers to travel to Kenya to build a Resource Centre in January

A Public meeting will take place on
Tuesday 30th

Community Centre, Kildysart

a follow up meeting which was agreed last July in connection with recent
robberies. with a view to forming a Neighbourhood Watch Committee in the area.
The main speaker will be Sgt. Joe Downey from Crime Prevention Unit for the
County and Sgt. Brendan Bourke will attend. The meeting will be open to
Kildysart, Cranny, Coolmeen & Ballynacally, & Labasheeda Parishes. Please make
a special effort to attend this very important meeting.

The Citizens Information Service Mobile Unit will be in Kildysart on Monday 29th
September from 10am to 4pm. Application forms, information booklets, leaflets &
staff will be on hand to answer queries and give advice to members of the

Hospital Development Committee
Ennis Hospital Development Committee will host a public meeting at Kilrush Golf
Club next Monday evening at 8.30 pm. The agenda will include recent
developments, the forthcoming HIQA review of services and future actions to be
taken. Anyone interested in the future of the health services in
Clare is invited to attend.

Family Day on this Sunday
The field events which were cancelled due to poor weather conditions have been
rescheduled for this Sunday (Sept 21st) at Lissycasey G.A.A. pitch. There will
be short matches for U/10s commencing at 12.30 followed by U/12s at 1 p.m. and a
combination of U/14s and U/16s at 1.30 p.m. A number of fun/novelty events will
follow the games and these will include, Go-Kart Skills Obstacle Course,
Bouncing Castles for various ages, Face Painting, Wellie Throwing, Hanging out
the Clothes etc. These events are free of charge and are open to both girls and
boys. There will be a B-B-Q at the rear of Fanny O' Dea’s from 2 to 6 p.m.
